Lukomir - place where you can find yourself

There is so much words that has already been said about Lukomir like "highest inhabited village in Bosnia and Herzegovina", "a village at the end of the world" or "place behind which lives dragons and fairies".

Most of these stories had source in feeling that overcome you soul after entering the village that there is nothing after Lukomir, nothing behind it.

Leave the stress behind you

Only beauty and silence of the powerful and mighty mountains as far as the eye reaches. Everything you left behind you is suddenly so far, all technology, internet, civilization. You are left alone in that moment thinking that you are taken hundreds of years back through the time and you are looking with your own eyes some strange and kind people that doesn't know anything about frustration of the fast world we came from.

There is no TV "soap" shows, no Big Brother, no Facebook or Twitter, no angry chiefs or drivers at the streets. The man is abandoned by virtual friends and left to himself and to those who live in his vicinity. Everything is so calm and things are done with slow pace.

This feeling  is what a man really appreciates when enters in Lukomir. This is what a man really thinks about when he want to return again.
