This is one of the most beautiful Bosnian mountains during every season - in summer there is thick evergreen forests with meadows full of blossoming flowers while in winter this mountain is covered with snow whiteness that's reminds you of Jahorina's Olympic history.
Eight months of snow
Jahorina has a great terrain configuration for winter sports with a nice climate that gives this mountain a lot of high quality snow for skiing. There is around 20 kilometers of greatly prepared ski slopes with highly developed infrastructure of ski lifts that has capacity of 10000 skiers in one hour. Average number of days under the snow on Jahorina is 175 - from October till the end of May. Ten year average height of snow in February is 106 centimeters.
Jahorina is just 30 kilometers far from Sarajevo and it's ski resort in Rajska dolina (Paradise valley) is prepared for visitors.

Jahorina is one of the four mountains where there were organized XIV World Winter Olympic Games nearby Sarajevo. It's highest peak Ogorjelica is 1916 meters high and one of the most attractive ski resorts in Bosnia and Herzegovina called Rajska dolina (Paradise valley) is located on Jahorina.
