Orlovačko lake on Zelengora mountain

Orlovačko lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Bosnia and Herzegovina located on Zelengora mountain and it is one of the eight lakes that can be found on Zelengora mountain. It is a glacial lake by origin with wonderful mountain climate on the altitude of 1438 meters.

Total length of the lake is around 350 meters with a width of 100 meters. Lake is not so deep with the depth of 5,5 meters at the deepest point and it is suitable for swimming during the summer.

Green lake on green meadows

Bottom of the lake is covered with green grass that gives the lake a characteristic green color. Beaches are made of sand and are very accessible while the surroundings of the lake is in the form of the flower rich meadows.

Orlovačko lake is located inside the Sutjeska National park and it is surrounded with high peaks. On the east there is Orlovac and Orlovača peaks, southeast is Bregoč (2014 m), to the south is Stog (1821 m) and to the north is Ljeljen (1765 m).

Orlovačko lake is suitable for touristic visits with the possibility of visiting with the car from the Kalinovik direction or from Čemerno direction. Nearby pastures are ideal for camping.
