Lupoglav is one of the peaks on Prenj mountain that is 2102 meters high. This year, as before, there will be held an International memorial climbing on Lupoglav as a memorial to the three mountaineers that died there.They were first who climbed on Lupoglav during the winter. Ilija Dilber, Zijo Jajatović and Milorad Stjepanović were the legends of mountaineering, but that tragic day of 14th February 1970 snow blizzard was terrible and they were found dead few months later on the slopes of Lupoglav. Every year Union of mountaineers of Bosnia and Herzegovina organize memorial climbing on Lupoglav and the same will be organized this year on 10-11 Mart 2012.
Prepare for dangerous Lupoglav
This peak is one of the hardest peaks to summit so only the fittest will be able to do so. Every participant has full responsibility for his life and equipment. Organizer will provide expert guides, mountain rescue team and team that will secure the vehicles at the parking place. Gathering is planed at Mostarska Bijela between Jablanica and Mostar and climbing will start at 10:00 am. Participants should provide them selves with food, drinks and tents for night on the open place.
