Enjoy Sarajevo 2012 again on Trebević mountain

Sarajevo is one of the cities that has a beautiful places for outdoor sports near the city center and one of them is most certainly Trebević mountain that is suitable for mountain cycling, mountaineering or simple relaxing in the evergreen woods.

Trebević mountain is located almost in the heart of Sarajevo and before the recent war it was possible for the weekend visitors to take a ride from the city center on the cable railway that would take them to the mountain slopes. Cable railway is destroyed and it is in the process of reconstruction so the visitors should have another way of transportation if they would like to get to the Trebević. One of them is a bicycle.

It is not unusual to see groups of the cyclists to go up and down Trebević every day. But today was a special occasion since the Association of mountain cyclist MTB.ba organized an annual ride to the Trebević as a try to promote this healthy way of living among the broader population of Sarajevo and to get more people to this beautiful mountain.

Today we had an opportunity to join the group of more than a 100 bikers in the city center and with police support ride over the Sarajevo streets to Trebević mountain. This year's event was also a success since most of the cyclists arrived to the mountaineers hut "PD Napredak" without a problem.
