Giro di Sarajevo - 2012.

On behalf of civic organization Giro di Sarajevo we are happy to announce that the traditional cycling event Giro di Sarajevo is being held once again this year.

This event, one of its kind in Sarajevo, is organized for the purpose of promoting urban cycling and the end goal is the same each year - build a proper cycling infrastructure in Sarajevo, as it is in other European capitals. Their slogan is the same as before - “We want cycling lanes- our lanes.”

The route of the event will be similar to the last year route:

START: 2nd of September 2012, in the courtyard of the primary school Skender Kulenović (across Mercator center on Dobrinja, Municipality Novi grad). Registration of the participants starts at 15.00h and ends at 16.45h. The event is scheduled to start at 17.00h.
FINISH: Wilson’s alley, central stage near the National museum of Sarajevo

Cyclists are planned to ride through the main streets of Sarajevo, from Dobrinja to Baščaršija, ending on Wilson’s alley where is the finish line. Total route is 16km of length and the streets will be secured by the police department as well as the members of Giro di Sarajevo team.

We hereby, invite all of you older than 18, to join us once again this year, we guarantee you great fun and a reason more to participate are the valuable prizes for the luckiest ones:
